The Luralite is a very effective yet silent and discreet fly trap designed for use in human traffic areas, where hygiene is an important consideration. It is designed to look like a wall sconce or uplight, camouflaging it from it's purpose as an efficient fly trap. Ideal for public areas such as restaurants and bars, and other indoor uses, but not suitable outdoors or other locations like barns and stables.The unit is installed to a wall via the supplied mounting hardware, approx. 6 feet from the ground nad ideally in the darkest place free from windows and skylights . The 6' power cord gives enough clearance between your mounting location and your 110V - 60Hz (3-prong)power source. The 18W bulb produces UV light which attracts mosquitoes, flies, and other flying insects to the pheremone enhanced glue pad covering 240 sq. ft. Light tubes should be replaced every 12 months, and gluepads should be replaced every 4 weeks. The Luralite has been replaced by an updated model. The glue board for this Luralite has been discontinued, but the glue boards for the newer Luralite Cento Plus will fit. It has holes/louvers on the sides of the unit and the new glue board is designed to not cover those holes.
